Job Description: Dispensing Optician
What hours: Full time
Practice details: Bargoed Sight Centre and iCare Opticians, Llanrumney
Information: Bargoed Sight Centre and iCare Opticians Llanrumney have teamed up and are looking for a qualified Dispensing Optician to work between our two practices. Both businesses have been established for over 30 years and have recently been taken over by new management. We are now excited for the businesses to undergo new investment and are looking to grow.
We pride ourselves in high quality patient care and are now looking for a new like-minded team member to come on board. As a Dispensing Optician, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with their eyewear needs and ensuring a positive experience in all aspects of their time within the practices. You will also be responsible for the smooth running of the front of house.
Responsibilities:
– Spectacle dispensing, including guidance on lens options, frames, and lens coatings
– Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses
– Spectacle adjustments and repairs
– Reception work, including good telephone etiquette and booking appointments using a computerised system
– Ensuring the smooth running of the front of house
Requirements/experience:
– Qualified as a Dispensing Optician
– The ability to work well as part of a team and on your own
– Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional manner
– Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
– Proficient computer skills for maintaining electronic records.
Schedule:
– Bargoed Sight Centre: 9:30am to 5:30pm 3 days per week
– iCare Opticians Llanrumney: 9am to 5:30pm 2 day per week
