Job Role Information: We are looking for a Part Time Optometrist to join our well-established, premium independent practice in North Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped practice, supported by experienced Dispensing Opticians and a dedicated team. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of clinical care alongside an exceptional patient experience.
Essential Criteria
• GOC-registered Optometrist.
• WECS accreditation.
• Strong clinical decision-making skills with a patient-first approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable / Preferred Skills & Qualifications
• Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification.
• Medical Retina Certification.
• Higher Glaucoma Certification.
• Low Vision Accreditation.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to up-skill.
Working Hours
• The role is typically three to four full days per week, with some flexibility depending on the right candidate’s availability. The position will include scheduled Saturday mornings, which are part of our patient care service.
