Quality for Optometry Annual Return 2025/26
Completion of the toolkit Quality for Optometry Annual Return 2025’26 is a mandatory requirement.
Practices should have completed all sections and submitted the required documents for review by the Local Health Board by 31/03/2026.

This year as part of Quality for optometry all practices must submit the Welsh Information Governance toolkit by 31/03/26 details of the IG toolkit can be found on Information Governance Toolkit 2025/26 – Optometry Wales
As part of the Quality for Optometry annual return all practices are also required to complete and submit an action plan to their Local Health Board by 31/03/2026 – this action plan should detail any areas of non-compliance and the date as to when the practice intends to meet the requirements.

OPTOMETRY COLLABORATIVES
Attend Optometry Collaborative meeting in your cluster if scheduled.
If unable to attend – notify both the LHB and your collaborative lead and where possible arrange a buddy practice to attend
It is a contractual mandatory requirement to attend 4 optometry collaborative meetings/ year
